Questions and answers
What counts as a critical issue?
For example: the website is down, the shop takes no orders, or the website has been hacked. Monitor has no guaranteed response time.
Are fixes included?
Yes in Care, E-shop Care and Growth (with Care and Growth, malware removal €190 extra). Monitor watches your site, alerts you and sends the monthly report; fixes are not included in Monitor.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Every plan is monthly, with 30 days' notice. There is no lock-in period.
What's in the Care plan?
Everything in Monitor, plus weekly updates, error checks, fixing problems (malware removal €190 extra), 1 hour of changes a month, priority email support and 1 new SEO article a month in your website's language.
What's in the Growth plan?
Everything in Care, plus 3 new SEO articles a month instead of 1 and 1 existing article refreshed every month. €290 a month, cancel with 30 days' notice.
Is hosting included?
No. Hosting is optional and costs €89 a year, only if you host with us. We bill it annually in advance through Stripe; cancel up to 30 days before renewal. You can also keep your own hosting if it offers current PHP and MySQL or MariaDB versions, SSH or SFTP access, daily backups or the option to run them, and HTTPS.
How do you back up the website?
Daily, through the WPvivid plugin, in every plan. With our hosting, the host's backups come on top, so you have two.
How does VAT work?
With a valid UID number (ATU), we invoice net, without VAT. Reverse charge applies: you account for the 20% VAT in Austria yourself and deduct it as input tax if you're entitled to. If you can't deduct input tax (for example doctors, therapists or small businesses), the 20% VAT is a real cost for you, on top of the net price. If you're a small business (Kleinunternehmer) without a UID, please apply for one before the first invoice (form U15). The invoice shows both VAT numbers and a reverse-charge note (on the Slovak invoice: "prenesenie daňovej povinnosti").
How do I pay?
Websites by bank transfer, with no deposit: you get the invoice when the site is live and pay within 14 days. Monthly plans are paid through Stripe, by card or SEPA Direct Debit. No surcharge.
Do you speak German?
Calls are in English and optional. Written support is in English and German, and we write SEO articles in your site's language.
What is the SEO article in the Care plan like?
Each month we research a topic that fits your website and write an article of about 1,000 words on it, in your website's language. German articles are checked before they are published.
Do I need a new website?
Not necessarily. We also look after existing WordPress websites and check them for free first. More about new websites at Web design Vienna.
